ReceiptWise AI is a Canadian beta pilot service that helps you organize business expense records. This policy explains what we collect and how we protect it. Plain language is used on purpose.

What we collect

• Your email address and name, so you can sign in and we can contact you.
• Receipt images you upload, and the fields taken from them.
• Business details you enter, such as business name and province.
• Feedback you send us during the beta.

How your data is protected

• Every account requires email verification before sign-in.
• Receipt records are protected by database row-level security, so each account can only read and write its own rows.
• Receipt images are kept in a private storage area, never publicly readable.
• Images are shown to you through short-lived signed links that expire after a couple of minutes.
• Receipt reading runs on our servers. No API keys or secrets are ever placed in your browser.

Automated receipt reading

When you upload a receipt, the image is sent to an AI processing service to read the merchant, date, taxes, total and a suggested category. Results are suggestions only. You review and approve every record before it enters your register.

What we do not do

• We do not sell your data.
• We do not collect credit card details during the beta.
• We do not share your records with other users.

Your choices

You can edit or delete any receipt, export your data at any time from the Data export page, and ask us to delete your account by contacting us through the Feedback page.

Beta data handling

Because this is a pilot, please avoid uploading documents that contain sensitive personal information unrelated to your business expenses, keep your original receipts, and download backups regularly.
