ReceiptWise AI is currently a free beta pilot released for market testing in Canada. Please read this page before relying on the app for your bookkeeping.

Keep your originals

Retain every original paper and email receipt. The Canada Revenue Agency may ask for source documents, and a beta app is not a substitute for them.

Download backups

Use the Data export and backup page regularly to download a copy of your records. Data may be reset between pilot releases.

Automated reading is not perfect

Merchant names, dates, GST/HST/PST amounts and suggested categories are extracted automatically and can be wrong. Every record must be reviewed and approved by you.

No tax or accounting advice

ReceiptWise organizes records. It does not provide tax, accounting or legal advice and does not calculate what you owe. Some categories, such as meals and entertainment, have deductibility limits your accountant will apply.

Unfinished features are labelled

Features that are not yet complete — including Excel and PDF file exports and paid subscriptions — are clearly marked in the app. Nothing marked "Coming soon" or "Not implemented" works yet.

No payments

No credit card information is collected and no real payment processing takes place during the pilot.
